Our goal is to support the maritime industry. We do this with passion and in a variety of ways. As an interface between the maritime industry, science and politics, we strengthen the competitiveness and innovative power of companies and advocate for their interests. We focus on networking activities, the transfer of expertise, the initiation of research and cooperation projects and maritime security training. We pay particular attention to cooperation with small and medium-sized companies – from both the maritime and inland shipping sectors.

WE TRAIN!

We don’t just deal with water – we also know our way around the element of fire! Firefighting is just one topic of our various safety courses in accordance with STCW (Standards for Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers), for which we offer highly qualified practical and theoretical instruction at our location in Leer harbour.

WE PROVIDE KNOWLEDGE!

Knowledge is power! Or at least helpful. Nevertheless, we realise once and again that knowledge is often gained in the “quiet room” and does not always reach those who could benefit from it. This is where we come in! We organise the transfer of know-how between science and business, but also to politics and to educational institutions as part of our projects, studies and events.

What is an innovation? We understand it to mean ideas, concepts, products or applications that bring benefits for entrepreneurial processes, business models and the environment. In this context, we are currently working on various innovation topics, e.g. in the context of green shipping and digitalisation.

WE ARE COMMITTED!

We see ourselves as a “”voice”” in politics, business and science and represent the interests of the maritime industry at various levels. In cooperation with various associations and our partners, we campaign for a sustainable funding landscape, a fair climate for innovation and suitable strategies to counter the shortage of skilled professionals.

WE ADVISE!

We are experts in the field of initiating subsidised projects. Do you have an innovative idea with a maritime connection? We support you in describing your project idea, in the search for financing and funding opportunities and also in the search for possible partners. We are also happy to advise you on innovation topics, e.g. in the context of green shipping and digitalisation.
