With the so-called ‘Manila Agreement’ of 2010, the IMO requires all safety courses (BS, AdFF, SCARB) to be refreshed every 5 years. Experience from port state controls carried out worldwide and the findings from numerous accidents and disasters have shown the need for additional refresher courses.
The overwhelmingly positive experiences from the courses held to date confirm the need.
The complete refresher course Refresher Complete (BS-R, SCARB-R and AdFF-R), in accordance with STCW, lasts 4 days and includes theoretical refresher training as well as the practical application of safety equipment and the performance of exercises.
The BS-R, SCARB-R and AdFF-R modules can also be booked individually to extend the respective certificates for 5 years.
The refresher courses are conducted without an examination.
