MyCaDO

My Career Development Online

Background

The shipping industry on both sides of the border is increasingly faced with a shortage of skilled workers and increased demands. This poses major challenges for the area of human resources development. Operational, technical, regulatory and other requirements can only be met through targeted training of employees in maritime and inland shipping. In order to save resources and, given the current shortage of qualified employees, to be able to train and further educate staff efficiently and in a targeted manner, a customizable and transparent qualification management system is required. This is where the German-Dutch cooperation project MyCaDO comes in.

Mission & Vision

In MyCaDO, a digital platform is being developed that covers the entire process from the start of training to further professional qualification. The platform represents an intelligent “toolbox” for creating, providing and sharing effective, personalized, mixed development plans for various shipping-oriented career paths (e.g. nautical officers, engineers, shore-based specialists). All requirements of employees, companies, education providers and other stakeholders involved in the topic of personnel development can be integrated.
